John W. McDonough/Getty Images

Lights. Camera. Action.

With the Lakers bringing in LeBron James and a supporting cast of NBA vets fit for reality tv, this upcoming season will be nothing short of a movie. What movie genre it will be is nearly impossible to predict. It could be a comedy where the rest of the league laughs as LeBron drags a core of unprepared young players to the eighth seed. A horror film where some of the villains of Lebron’s playoff past attempt to destroy his team from the inside. Fredrick Porcello

Those who know him by the name Rick Porcello are just casual fans. Those of us who know him as Fredrick, are a classy bunch. The 2016 by young winner was excellent in his game game 4 clinched against the Yankees. And overall, he’s been pretty solid. With 6.2 innings in 3 overall appearances this postseason (1 start, 2 relief), he has only given up 1 earned run and 5 hits. Now this might not be that great, but considering he faced lineups with Aaron Judge, Stanton, Altuve, Springer, etc. The man has the nuts to pitch finally, after disappointing ends to his other postseason starts. This one feels different. Even today, he said ” I’d much rather throw the shit out of my arm now and have it feel shitty for 3 months with a ring on my hand.” If that doesn’t get your diabetic heart pumping, what will!?
