Will Pedrioa’s Knee Hold up?

Dustin Pedroia is a player forever etched in Red Sox history. Winning championships in 2007, 2013, and 2018 is a nice resume. Especially when he played big parts in his first two.

Nick covered his accolades in his 2018 post about the 2nd baseman’s future with the team. I’m not going to argue that. From what I read, Cora and the other players appreciate his leadership in the clubhouse. I’m not doubting that. He’s been there longer than anyone, so if anyone deserves loyalty, it would be the guy who embodies a good Red Sox player (Although I am skeptical after that Machado incident). Celtics Post All-Star Break History

The Celtics have been under the microscope in the East ever since they emerged as potential contenders again under Brad Stevens. They were obviously in a rebuilding stage when the Celtics parted ways with long time coach Doc Rivers, who saw only one championship with them in 2008. It did not come as a surprise when Brad Stevens, the former Butler head coach that brought the team to their first Final Four in school history, went 25-57 in his first year. The actual surprise was the Celtics never missing the playoffs every season after that. Brad Stevens is remarkable at utilizing the players he has and setting them up to succeed through well-crafted play calling. As his roster grew each year with more and more talent, he was able to improve their playoff success. With the All-Star break over and the playoff push in full effect, I wanted to see how the Celtics have fared in the past five years during this time; the pattern is surprising. Tom Brady: Left Knee Injury

Reports are surfacing this week that Tom Brady has a knee injury that is significantly setting him back.  Brady was listed on the injury report prior to the Jets game last month, and reporters are citing certain film as evidence that the injury is effecting his gameplay.  Brady has played throughout injuries his entire career, and as much as we joke about the TB12 method, we have to acknowledge that he is one tough SOB.  I do not expect Brady to sit due to this injury, but at 41, can we expect him to play around it to the level the Pats need to make a playoff run?
