Welcome back to the world’s greatest weekly preview of professional sports which is released on Friday afternoons!

This past week, the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics continued to… disappoint (nice call on Gordon Hayward last week Nick… NOT).  Dywane Wade made an insane three-point shot to beat the Golden State Warriors, Kyler Murray was announced to be 5’10” Jason Witten decided to leave MNF and come back to the Dallas Cowboys, and Bryce Harper FINALLY chose a team, signing with the Phillies for THIRTEEN (13) YEARS AND $330 MILLION! SHEESH!

March is a great month for sports.  March Madness begins on the 19th, playoff races will only heighten in the NHL and NBA, the first games of the MLB season begin on the 20th, while the traditional Opening Day will be the 28th.  Hopefully it will finally stop snowing, but who knows; one step at a time.

Lets get down to business

The Anthony Davis Saga

Anthony Davis’ request of a trade from New Orleans caused a lot of drama the past two weeks in the NBA; is this just the beginning? (Credit: Gary A. Vasquez/USA TODAY Sports)

The NBA trade deadline has come and gone, and Anthony Davis is still a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. After asking for a trade January 28, ten days of drama ensued as Davis was immediately connected to the Los Angeles Lakers.  We heard endless amounts of information (as well as misinformation) from the main parties involved, and the hurricane of madness even hit the shores of Boston, instilling doubts about the future of Kyrie Irving.  My favorite part? LaVar Ball came out of the cave Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka (must have) paid him to stay in, and told the world LeBron James is nothing without his son Lonzo!

Last night, as the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Miami Heat, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade faced off for the last time (Wade is retiring at the end of this season).

The Lakers won by 3, but the only thing that people are talking about is the postgame conversation that took place between the future Hall of Famers. Continue reading “To Be a Knicks Fan”

Welcome to another edition of Who to Watch!

Since we last met, the Rams clinched a playoff birth, Mark Sanchez was seen on a football field, and Gordon Hayward came back to life.  OBJ and Tarik Cohen threw some touchdowns, Cam Newton threw a lot of interceptions, and Phillip Lindsey continues to make every GM in the NFL stupid for not drafting him.  Contrary to popular belief, LeBron James is not washed. Oh, and a belated happy birthday to the Greek Freak, who turned 24 yesterday… that’s right, nowhere near his peak, folks.

Lets see who the crew* has their eyes on for this upcoming week

*Kerm was not able to contribute this week.  He’s been working hard in the lab with 808s and Ankle Breaks (LISTEN HERE), so we forgive him.
