Payday for the G.O.A.T?

Tom Brady will be entering the final year of a 2-year, $41 million contract he signed with the team in 2016. He’s currently set to earn $15 million, vastly underpaid for a player of his caliber, something we have come to expect throughout his career, as he has sacrificed money time and time again for the betterment of the team.  It’s a formula that had helped New England assemble championship rosters, especially this most recent run of titles.

However, Brady has never walked into a contract year, and even though it will be his age-42 season, the Patriots are not changing course in making sure the greatest QB of all-time is under team security. The week prior to the Super Bowl, owner Robert Kraft said the team would have no reservations in extending Brady, and we should expect nothing less.

To add some fuel to the fire, we’re hearing some figures about a possible Brady contract extension.

Who to Watch (February 1 – February 7)

Welcome to February folks! It’s that time again, and we’re back and better than ever.  Sorry for the delay, but we did not want to overwhelm everyone with tons of basketball players, so we decided to push things back a week.

Anyway, last week we saw Anthony Davis blow up the NBA, James Harden continue his monster scoring stretch, Bradley Beal continue to play well, and the Warriors… win.  Unfortunately, since we last met, Victor Oladipo suffered a season-ending injury (our thoughts go out to him), and the Pacers have thus lost three games in a row.  Going to football, we are just two days away from Super Bowl LIII, as the Los Angeles Rams face off against the New England Patriots, with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick looking for their 6th ring since 2001.

Who to Watch (January 18 – January 24)

Welcome back to Who to Watch! Football fans, there is a BIG weekend coming up with the Rams and Saints, as well as Pats and Chiefs vying for a birth in the Super Bowl! The top two seeds in each conference, and the best offenses in football, it’s set to be two great games.  In the NBA, James Harden is STILL dominating in a manner we have not seen in a LONG time (he’s now averaging 35.37 PPG, which would make him the 9th player all-time to average at least 35 PPG in a season).  Kyrie had a statement game against the Raptors, but the Celtics are still not consistent enough to be considered a viable playoff threat at this time.  The Warriors scored 51(!) points in the first quarter against the Nuggets, and with DeMarcs Cousins’ debut set for this evening, they might be ready to make their run.
